Kahala Cocteleria Tiki
7pm to 3am every day
An original tiki bar, reborn, Kahala has been around since 1971 but this year has reopened with a brand new look and a new menu in the very same location. The bar is beautifully fitted out with statues and ornaments, giving it a modern tiki feel, rather than down and dirty. There’s an impressive menu of drinks, all served in fabulous tiki mugs with lashings of dry ice for that Instagram appeal. It’s not all for show, though; the drinks taste good, and the Mai Tai was on point. We also tried the scorpion bowl, which was tasty, if not overpowering. The only criticism is that the lighting is a little bright, and the music isn’t traditional tiki. A small price to pay, though, for genuine European tiki heritage.
